About us

Sun Medical Technology Research Corp．was established in 1991 in Suwa City，Nagano Prefecture Japan，to develop and commercialize the Implantable Rotary Blood Pump conceived and patented by Dr. Kenji Yamazaki, Tokyo Women's Medical University. Since this field has a lot of risk in development, we organized an industry-government-university collaboration and have been researching and developing the blood pump to produce it as a practical medical device using our own unique techniques of micro-mechatronics. We are moving forward steadily toward our ultimate goal of alleviating the suffering of the patients with end- stage heart failure.
